Winners announced of Best Costume Competition

By Amorey Sweetrose and Peppy Bristlebrush  As part of the Masquerade Ball there was a competition for best costume. Miss Rowana Fairborn was asked to be the judge but unfortunately she had to cancel at the last minute. So we, the initiators of the event, decided to be the judges ourselves. We looked at several aspects: splendour of costume, quality of act/roleplay and how hard it was to guess the true identity of the masked hobbit.  It was not an easy job, and we want to stress the point that ALL costumes were great in their own way. It showed that people really tried and did their best to make a good appearance and to help make the Masquerade Ball a success. We have tried to judge as good and fair as we could and came up with the following:First price (3 bottles of Evendim blue dye):   Miss Tibba Stoutfoot.

For the quality of her act and the fact that almost everyone thought she was Miss Lina because of that.

Second price (1 bottle of crimson dye): Miss Bootsy Frogfurlong

For the quality of her exquisite costume that was funny and had a wonderful story.

Third price was a tie:

Third price (1 bottle of a nice dye each): Miss Anysia and Master Jiro

Master Jiro wins Forest green dye for his lovely impersonation of a well-known community member, although his own identity was easily guessed.

Miss Anysia wins a lovely blue dye for fooling everyone and being hard to guess by simply wearing green in stead of blue.

As usual the judges decisions are final and the prices will be sent to the winners one of the following days.Again we want to thank everyone for their participation and the effort you all made to make this event a wonderful succes. It has already been decided that the Masquerade Ball will be a annual event from now on! We hope to see you again next year!
