The hat has passed, again !

On a fine Spring evening we saw the passing of the illustrious hat of the People of the Shire from one head to another. Yes earlier this year it jumped from Dodero Dandywick's silverhaired head onto Bovso Oakengates. And now the hat has extra sparkle and bounce as it comfortably rests on the curly top of Bardoric Oatroot! 

The ceremony went smoothly, were many a hobbit and visitors from foreign lands eyed and admired the costume of Bovso, who apparently spared no expenses to look at his best. Bardoric speech's was... well not a speech really. All were delighted to hear his opening song ! This was followed by fireworks! And then of course more music and pie.

We thank Bovso for his excellent and succesfull efforts in carrying the hat; and wish Bardoric all the finest in his new position as hat bearer!
