Update: It seems that the forecasters have withdrawn their storm warning for today. So you can basically ignore this article now and at the Hobbit Market it is most likely business as usual! That means low prices for starting adventurers, good deals for all and a nice atmosphere to meet your fellow hobbits. Usually some nice music is played as well. Come and enjoy!
The Weather forecasters have predicted the arrival of a storm on Monday July 31. It will be so severe, that the Mayor has ordered every inhabitant of the Shire to stay indoors during the hours of 3pm to 8pm ((UK time, 10am to 3pm servertime)).
It may turn out to be quite a wild one, this storm. so expect your door to open with difficulty from the debris that has piled up in front of it. You'll have to spend an amount of time cleaning that up.
On this particular Monday, a Hobbit Market has been planned, but the storm may interfere with it and Marketeers may be cleaning debris and not be able to come there on time (unless you are on Nimelia time, then you may have a chance). But there is no harm in stopping by once you are able to go outdoors again.
Some of you more Tookblooded Hobbits may be tempted to go and attack the Black Gates immediately. But remember that you'll need the right tools to disassemble them! And lots of dye/paint to get rid of that depressing black colour. And you may need provisions for the long journey ahead. So even then, it would be wise to visit the Hobbit Market of Michel Delving first.
Tuesday is Market Day too.
Downtime Notice: 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM Eastern (-4 GMT) Monday, July 31st
Fri, 28 Jul 2017 21:02:04 +0000
The LOTRO Game Servers will be brought down on Monday, July 31st from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM Eastern (-4 GMT) to launch the Mordor expansion.
And then the patching can begin, so very likely you won't be able to be in game during Market hours (usually 19:30 - 20:30 UK)
Ofcourse you are very welcome to try again on Tuesday
The Launch date of the Mordor expansion has been shifted. What this means for the planned downtime is not clear yet. No mention of it in the Launcher anymore, so most likely no downtime today, on Monday July 31))
