Now the fun begins!
The names are now revealed fer those brave folk who've stepped up ter join the race for our next Shire Queen of the May, and here they all are!
Shire May queen contestants:
Miss Myrtellia
Miss Briallin
Miss Almi
Miss Diaspore
Shire May King contestants:
Master Saelo
Master Clumbo
Master Hooh
Master Furno
Master Aodhfin
How ter vote:
Each of ye gets two votes, one fer the lass of yer choice the second fer the lad. The hobbit with the most will be crowned our next May rulers at the Grand reveal on May 1st.
Ye need ter let me know via Quick post or just whisper them to me when ye see me about the Shire. Ye have till the closing of the Green Dragon on the 30th of April ter get yer choice made!

Another year gone and tis time ter start the search once more!
Each year around this time, the Shire decides which of the brave lasses who come forward, will be the next wearer of the Floral Crown. From humble housewife ter hard working crafters, the race is open ter all!
Now, as the leaves on the trees change every year, tis only fair that the Queen is renewed each year. Otherwise we'd be keeping the same lass and no give others the chance.
So... Are ye a lass of the Shire? Do ye have what it takes ter be Queen of the May?
Or do ye know of someone who would do the Shire proud? If so, then don't delay! Send them names ter me - Nannie - and they could be the lucky one!
Over the years we've had many a fine Queen of the May. Miss Acorne, Miss Amorey, Miss Lina, Granmama and our current holder Miss Pennyroyal. Ter name but a few. Will ye be joining their ranks?
So lassies, dust off yer best frocks and pluck up yer courage - a wee dram may help with that one - Drop me a message via the Quick post - time ter earn yer ale again lads! - Or just let me know at either the Green Dragon or market, yer canna miss the hat!

The search has begun to find our next rulers of the May, all are invited ter try if ye havena held the title before. Once we have some willing vict... er candidates, their names will be announced and voting will begin.
Ye have till the 16th of April, ter get those names in, then voting will open and the race begins in truth.
The event is open to all hobbits of the Shire and beyond. The new Queen and King will be announced at the party on May Day (1st May)
