Well, such a lot has been going on since the last time we opened our doors at the Shire Angling Club, what with the Farmers' Faire and the new statue in Michel Delving and, most importantly of all, our move from Harville to Bramblebury, that I've had very little time to think about our next event. Summer is already drawing to a close and so the Shire Angling Club thought to mark the changing seasons with another Open Day. This time, we are combining two great Hobbit traditions, fishing and cooking. Oh! and eating of course, which makes three great Hobbit traditions!  We have planned a talk on how to find and catch the most edible fish in Middle Earth and of course, how to cook them! This will be followed by an open air cookery class with ingredients provided and a fish tasting. There will be fun and games and music and dancing, fireworks and fun! And, did I mention fun? So come along to the new Museum of Hunting and Fishing at 5 Harrow Road, Bramblebury on Saturday 5th October at 8 o'clock, and bring yer friends and frying pans!  Ponso Pondhopper Club President
