Lantern Procession

Michel Delving - Written by Dorini My dear hobbits and other folks (that means you longsh....big folk), listen.

We hobbits scarcely ever leave the Shire, it is true.

But with good friends, our lanterns for light, and a cart-load of pies, we can be tempted.

Further, we can be drawn to travel great distances with such things, and to accomplish great deeds.

On a day not far ahead, we will travel far to the east(or what we hobbits call far). To play a tune, recite a poem, and eat on our little journey.

And at the end of this small venture of ours, we will feast some more, put our feet up and travel back home.

Knowingly we brought some light into the world.

Event details:

Michel Delving you should know very well (if not...you must live under a rock near buckland).

But this will the place for us to meet on Sunday, february the 10th.

Don't forget to bring your lantern, your lutes, flutes, and food you need on our little trip. And please if you have poem prepared for the occasion, we will listen eagerly at every stop we make.

Our travel route:

We will start in Michel Delving. We will travel by foot to hobbiton. From there to Brockenborings and back south to Stock. Then we will cross the lovely Brandywine Bridge(no jumping off the bridge into the water!)

Then, after a long walk on the road, we will arrive in Bree-Town. We will make a stop at the tavern 'The Prancing Pony'. To have a bite to eat, play a tune or more, before we start our travel back home.

Once we are back in the shire, and at the Green Dragon Inn, we will end the lantern procession there and maybe have another bite to eat, another ale, and another song to play.

OOC details:

Hobbits and other folks are allowed and welcome to participate. So, Dwarves, Elves, Men, come and join us in the shire for this grand event.

Please bring lanterns. We have some to spare, so that will not be a problem I hope.

It would be nice if some people have some poems prepared as well.

Please keep chat during the event in character, and do not use forced emotes, or other emotes that would not fit the situation.
