Grand Shire Chicken Run 2013

Date: Sunday February 24th
Time: 7:3PM GMT/UK (2:30PM servertime)
Location: Meet at Sandson’s farm, the Shire, Laurelin Server
Herd them chucks!
Recently much activity has been taking place at Farmer Sandson’s Farm, with reports of Elven folk even coming to visit. After much rumour and gossip, Farmer Sandson revealed he has had an order for the finest Shire chickens from none other than Bilbo himself, who now resides over in Rivendell.
However, after an attack by the wolves roaming in neighbouring Dora Brownlock’s farm, Farmer Sandson’s chicken stock has been depleted and he desparately needs some more to send to Rivendell. Not only that, the journey to Rivendell is long and perilous, and willing volunteers are requested to come forward to help herd the chickens too.

Here’s a similar event we did back in 2011!
This event involves some players taking on one of the “Flying the Coop” Chicken Quests (ideally it will be the “Flying the Coop — Trollshaws” quest) and then attempting to walk to Rivendell. A number of participants will also need to act as herders, mainly to protect the chickens from harm.
Whether you want to play a chicken, or be a herder, can be decided on the day.
Note: You don’t actually have to complete the “Flying the Coop — Trollshaws” quest when you get to Rivendell though.
