Fed Poets' Society July 13 meeting

by Aerinbard Fallohide

“There are no rules. And those are the rules!”

-Cantus, Wandering Minstrel of Fraggle Rock

Summer is in full swing now with its warm weather and many hobbits seek the cooler bits of shade. That is just our aim with this month's Fed Poets' Society meeting!

Thanks to all the brave souls who attended the last gathering in Overhill. Dangers were faced, poems shared, and no one came to an untimely end!

This month we will meet at the Nobottle stables and from there take a leisurely stroll to a shady spot to share our poetry, poetry finds, and picnic!  (And also sausages! Don't miss out, Master Fidgit!) If you have a firefly friend feel free to bring them. If the light favours us, we might be treated to a colourful display!

This month's suggested theme is : Rivers

The form we will try to employ is: Onomatopoeia: the use of a word that imitates or suggests the sound that is describes, such as 'splash' or 'sizzle.'

If you would like to try your hand at writing, or if you have a favourite poem to share, or you would just like to sit back and listen, join the Fed Poets' Society Meeting THURSDAY, July 13 at 7:30pm ((UK Time, 2:30pm Servertime)). Share a hearty bite to eat and a feast of words! (And a stop at the local pub as needed).

See you there!
