Fed Poets' Society August Meeting

by Aerinbard Fallohide

“Poetry is not only dream and vision; it is the skeleton architecture of our lives. It lays the foundations for a future of change, a bridge across our fears of what has never been before.”

-Audre Lorde

Summer crops burgeon on vine and stalk, promising a rich harvest. So too do our poets look to posibilities  with this month's theme of Dreams, be they the waking or sleeping kind.

Thanks to all who crossed into Yondershire last month to gather in the shade by the Water and share not just food and poetry, but also company and song. A rare treat.

This month we will meet at the Buckland gate just across the Brandywine Bridge and from there take a short ride to our poetry and picnic spot. If you have a well behaved pet, feel free to bring them along.

This month's suggested theme is : Dreams

The literary tool we will explore is: Metre: the rhythmic pattern of a poetic line

If you would like to try your hand at writing, or if you have a favourite poem to share, or you would just like to sit back and listen, join the Fed Poets' Society Meeting

THURSDAY, August 10 at 7:30pm ((UK Time, 2:30pm Servertime)). Share a hearty bite to eat and a feast of words.

See you there!
