Time to get your rods out of storage and wax your lines! The kind hobbit-folk of Brockenborings have kindly offered to host our next grand Angling Contest, the first of the New Year. This year we are trying out a new way of counting fish, devised by that smart Mister Simbo! This should greatly reduce waiting time and leave more time for eating the catch!

Meet by the village pond at seven and a half bells on Saturday 23 January for a night of fishing, food, song and dance. All the usual grand prizes to be won, regardless of your fishing skills. This year we are introducing a new prize for the tiniest tiddler: the smallest minnow caught by line. Afterwards at the Plough and Stars for a pint and a dance. No need to register, just turn up on the day and see Penina. Open to all.

What:  First Fishing contest of the new year

Where: Brockenborings, the Shire

When: Saturday 23 January, 7:30pm ((UK, 2:30 pm Servertime))
