On next upcoming Sunday, 24th of April, People of the Shire will celebrate the new owner of the Hat. We of the People of the Shire would like to invite you and yours to party with us! Every hobbit is welcome. There maybe some lankyshanks also, but I promise - they are very kind. So, come party on Sunday at 18.00 ((/servertime)) to our kinship hall. Address is 4 Myrtle Court in Oakham ((Shire Homesteads)).
What is the Hat? It's not an ordinary hat, it has some magic in it. It looks after our collection of pies and is worn by the Chief of the People of the Shire. Each couple of months the Hat is passed on to another Shirriff of our kinship, who will then be the Chief for the next couple of months. Each Passing of the Hat Ceremony will be closed with an after party with plenty of pie and ale! Welcome!
