An interview with Ted Sandyman

By Zinniamae Zarazola. The harvest festival has arrived! Hobbits all over the Shire are having fun, applebobbing, playing a game of Troves and Trickery and having fun with the Inn League. One person, though, clearly seemed to be very unhappy. That person is TedSandyman. So, the Gazette sent a reporter over to interview him.Mister Sandyman, why is it that you look so miserable?

Humph. Well, if you must know… there are two problems. Firstly, the traffic. Since

the festival, everyone has been using the Hobbiton-Bywater bridge to get to the Party

Tree, the busiest time is at night, which means that I can’ t get to sleep because of

the racket of the hooves and the singing of the drunken hobbits from the Inn league.

Secondly, the troves and trickery game! Groups of hobbits, dwarves, elves and men

come every day to tease my old friend next door and the fisherman. The worst case

though, is the fisherman; people come and throw a tantrum, just to see his reaction.

The noise is unbearable!

Also, there have been rumours that the Sackville Baggins’ cellar is haunted and will

be open to everyone sometime soon, what do you think of this?

A haunted cellar? Ha! It’ s probably Lobelia looking for attention again! I hope this

doesn’ t attract more people to come to the Party tree and disturb me!

If there is to be a haunted cellar, what do you think would be inside?

Maybe, some hobbits wearing scary masks? I’ m not sure. Probably some spiders,

I guess. Oh, hang on, now that you mention it, I did hear an old friend of mine

talking about some sort of cellar, he said there was going to be a treasure inside…it’ s

probably just another rumour though.

A treasure you say? Did your friend say anything else about this treasure?

Hmm…I think he said something about some tokens? No idea what he means by

those though! Anyway…why am I telling you this? It’ s none of your business!
