Regarding the upcoming appearance of the Evendim Hillbillies at the Yard Party we had the honour and the privilige of interviewing bandleader "Onionfarmer" Pete Proudfoot. I met him at the Farmer's Guild main farm in Elderglen.

Bramblebury Gazette: Let's start with the essentials first, Pete, the what where and when.

Onionfarmer Pete: Gladly, Master Peppy! The what would be the Evendim Hillbillies at the Bird 'n Baby Yard Party. And that tells you the where and the when as well: at the Bird 'n Baby in Michel Delving, at the usual time, so starting at 7:30pm ((UK, 2:30 servertime)) on Thursday February 18

B.G.: What made you decide to perform there?O.P.: We were asked to.

B.G.:*smiles* Right! And you did not need any persuading?

O.P.: Nah, we've played there before. It's a nice place with a mighty nice crowd and it was pointed out to us, that's it's been a year since the Evendim Hillbillies did an all-nighter.

B.G.: An all-nighter?

O.P.: That's when you perform all night, Peppy, not just a few tunes.

B.G.: I guess I could have guessed that. Does your performance at the Bird & Baby have a theme?

O.P.: Theme? *ponders* We'd like folks to see it as a kind of Oatbarton style hoe-down kind of thing. After work is done and the sun is slowly setting, we's put down our hoe or other farming tools and start to party!

B.G.: With songs, music and dancing, I guess?

O.P.: Yep!

B.G.: I notice you are a hobbit of few words, Master Pete. A couple more questions, if I may.. It will be the Thursday after Sweetheart's Day. Will you sing about love too?

O.P.:Yep! .. *There is a silence*..  O, you want me to elio.. elaba.. elabor... tell more? Well, I can tell you that we took the limericks from last year's competition at the OAKS, and we put them to music. That makes for quite a nice love song! But we have a few more songs about love and lovers.

B.G.: One last question then, a thing that many readers will want to know about: Will famous singer Emylou Haggins make her appearance again?

O.P.: The past few years we managed to have her with us when we did an all-nighter in the Shire. Ofcourse we have asked her, but her schedule is so busy! That's to be expected with a celebrity like she is. So I cannot say for sure, but we did invite her an she may appear unexpectedly.

B.G.: We can only hope for the best, then. I am sure many readers won't want to pass the chance of seeing Miss Emylou play with you at the Bird & Baby, so you can expect a large crowd!

O.P.: *frowns* Well, I like to think that even without Emylou, the evening will be well worth while for your readers!

B.G.: Well, ofcourse, Pete! Ofcourse! I want to thank you for the interview and wish you all the best and a lot of fun at the Bird & Baby next week, Thursday February 18th, at 7 and a half bells.

O.P.: Thanks! We hope to see y'all there!
