A letter concerning a Dwarven Travelling Fair

Post date: Apr 18, 2013 11:20:10 PM

Despatched from Needlehole by Bounder Chubb, To Shirriff Robin Smallburrow, in Hobbiton-Bywater

Greetings and salutations, Shirriff!

As you know, we have here in Needlehole, a community consisting of both hobbits and dwarves, peacefully coexisting, helping each other out where needed.

But lately there has been a kind of unrest among the dwarf side of the village, so I went up there to investigate and this is what I found out:

The excitement is all about a Grand Travelling Dwarrow Fayre, as they call it.

Starting in Ered Luin, the fair will travel and visit Needlehole on April 25th and then travel further to Bywater on May 1st and then move on to Breeland.

These are the dates and times as far as I could gather:

Wednesday 24 April at Frerin's Court,

Thursday 25 April at Needlehole Trading post,

Wednesday 1 May at Bywater (Green Dragon),

Thursday 2 May at Bree (Stone quarter marketplace),

All events starting at 8 Bells ((8pm BST, 3pm servertime)).

The dwarves would very much welcome musicians and other entertainers to perform at these fairs. The artists who are willing to do this should contact the dwarf Hanfur Steelstrike ((hanfur@me.com)) by Quickpost.

But a word of warning: They will not take kindly to rogue traders at their fairs!

I therefore ask politely for reinforcements, as there is likely to be excessive drinking in a makeshift Inn/party tent. We need as many bounders present as possible, to help out with that.

*End of report*

Signed, Bounder Chubb, Needlehole Watch.
