As we bid a fond farewell to the auspicious (or perhaps, in His Majesty's case, suspicious) reign of our dear May Queen and King, the topic of farewells seems a good theme for this Month's Fed Poet Society gathering.
We will meet on the lawn of the Bridge Inn in Stock (Near side of the Brandywine Bridge) if the weather is fine. If it is not, the Golden Perch Pub is close to hand and we may flee there from the rain.
This month, choose any poetry style you like and write up something on the topic of Farewells. We do not shy away from the serious at Fed Poets', so speak your heart! Some farewells are good, some bitter-sweet and some only bearable in the company of trusted friends. Be as courageous or cautious as you feel inclined to be. It is all welcome at Fed Poets'.
