Yule is behind us,
but that doesn't mean the food and fellowship must end!
This month's Fed Poets' Society meeting will be held January 15th . We will meet at the Michel Delving Stables and ride on to Gamwich, and gather at the Brimful Quiver.
The Theme This Month: Winter Mystery
Poetry Type: Golden Shovel: While this may sound like an invention by an industrious group of dwarves, I assure you it is a kind of poetry!
It’s a bit like an acrostic-style poem, in that it hides a secret message. The last word of every line is a word from a saying, another poem’s title or line.
For example, if you want to write about the line, “dead men tell no tales,” the first line of your poem would end in “dead,” the second line in “men,” and so on until you can read your entire message along the right-hand side of the poem.
If you do not wish to create a poem, please feel free to bring a poem by your favourite author!
We will gather at 7:30pm ((UK Time)). Food will be provided.
If you have questions, please quick-post Aerinbard.
