"In my grandad's overcoat,
Torn and out at elbows,
Here I stand, on brandy dote,
'Mid the queerest fellows;"
C.M. Bellman
The weather is changing rapidly, some days we might run freely in the fields, other days we are barred in our burrows with a hot mug of cider.
Most Hobbits have settled in again after the housing writs blunder and as good Hobbits most of us have agreed to frown a bit and never talk about it again. Maybe a little gossip now and then, as it happens, but besides that...
In the end many good things have come of it. Hobbits from different backgrounds have decided to come together and share in the good things in life: Food, dance, music and poetry.
Anyway, it wasn't me who was supposed to write up this letter to the Gazette, so I kind of got off track here.
Last Month we had the pleasure of electing a new Shire May Queen and King. The elected May Queen, Miss Rosenbleume, decided to dedicate her year of reign to the art of poetry, song and writing.
This is very welcomed by us here at the Fed Poets, so we decided to team up and the coming months we will hopefully be able to present our plans to all you fledging artist in the Shire.
So come on to Bartunnel for a gathering with old and new friends, bring your poetry or just come to listen.
