Long I have waited

Ever since this summer

Winter is coming

Bringing sights of wonder

Nights are cool and snow is falling

Up ahead I hear them calling

All me friends are here

Time to be merry

All of us together

Warm, snug and cozy

Even in this weather

Let us catch a fish for supper

In the pan with salt and pepper

Serve it with a pie

Night-time is falling

Still we are warm

Let’s build a snowman

And play ’til morn

Time together is a treasure

Waiting for the days of pleasure

Waiting for the Yule

Time together is a treasure

Waiting for the days of leasure

Waiting for the Yule

Dress up in yer finest tunic

Light the candles, play the music

Have a merry Yule

Friends and loved ones are a treasure

Wish for them both joy and pleasure

In the time of cool

Have a merry Yule

Some words by the author:

Yule is near, Yule is here! And here is a new Yule song, made fer this year’s Grand Order Yule greeting!

Best sung to the tune of the polish Yule tune “Wśród nocnej ciszy”, English title “In the still of the night”. I made me own words to the song for the 2013 Yule video of the Grand Order of the Lost Mathom, the hobbit kinship I am a member of. We had a lot of fun shooting the video! Contrary to belief, hobbits and snow is a good mix!
