Poem - the Sun Will Rise

The sun will rise to light your way 

Although the Year now ends this day 

But dark have been the recent nights 

It seems that hope is far from sight 

And all we see are clouds of grey 

But often can our thoughts betray 

And from our path we're lead astray

But just as birds have taken flight

The sun will rise

So cast those thoughts now far away

And look ahead now come what may

The Year will bring in clouds of white

Just as your friends will bring delight

For rest assured on New Year's Day

The sun will rise
