Good evening fellow readers of the gazette, I want to share you about an adventure I, Bramwise Cotton, had with fellow Hobbits I met yesterday on the 27Th of Rethe, or as some of the bigfolk would say 27Th of February. But let me start from the begin...
I met some nice Hobbits in the well-known inn of the Bird and Baby, thats in Michel Delving. Noteworthy Hobbits are Halgemond, Miss Odila and Master Polsam. Together we had a drink, but unfortunately no Pickles (outrages, but thats another story. Miss Odila has her own saying about that..).
But anyway we heard about the Quick Post is in a pickle themselves, so give them a hand. Miss Lina Willowwood was gentle for us to point out were the postoffice was, you see dear readers we are not local of the Delving Fields.
Some of us are from Bywater, Frogmorten and Buckland you see.
After a long and tiredsome Run we made it to Bywater to hand over some satchels with letters, I'm sure I had a cheese cake in one of the parcels, because a hungry wolf attacked me, and got away with a piece of my trouses.
If we had not enough troubles with wolves, it seems that a lass Dora was in distress about wolves herself.
We had to fetch some of her chicks and slay some prowling wolves at her farm.
A local Hobit Yllisa we met on waymeet warned us that Dora is a bit recless with her chicks.
But eitherway we agreed to help Dora, so off we go.
We also find a Hobbit lad hunten for lasses as my friend Halgemond stated, so keep a eye out for a charming lad called Oschar. His arrows might hit your hearth swiftly.
Oschar was willing to help too, and when he hunted for more wolves we headed back to Dora.
When we returned to her with all her chicks save... although I would not call them darlings, they bite and scratched me, it was getting nightfall.
So we returned to The Bird and baby to give it a day. A particular Hobbit Called Simbo was also thirsty for some Ale and joined us where we had a few Ales, before we all went for bed.
More of our adventure will follow......
Best regards Bramwise Cotton
