by Simbo Rumblebelly I wrote a silly poem To read it out to you I hope it brings a smile For silly poems do It's only got six verses Each one has four short lines So if I read it quickly It shouldn't take much time I wrote it out last evening Whilst lying on my bed I grabbed a quill and paper And wrote what's in my head But trouble came a-calling The words went wild and sprawling I had a tricky time With how to make it rhyme But still I kept on writing To make the words sound fun And soon enough I noted I'd had it almost done So now my poem's over It's time I must depart It was a silly poem I told you at the start Some information about the artist: Master Simbo is a famous poet around the Shire. He is a regular visitor of the Green Dragon, where on fridaynights he may be found willing to recite some of his work. Master Simbo is also a gifted musician and actor.
