A report by Adalbard Oakleaf.

There was a big celebration on september 25th when the Gazette was released, in our growing community. With plenty of pies, and drinks for our neighbours and guests, who made it on time to attend  this jolly event.

Before the announcement by miss Yola Plumblossom, chief editor, and her assistant Byronbrand Stepwise about the all new Gazette, there was some music performed by neighbours and guests alike.

Some came from far to play for us, like master dwarf Gibbonz, who played for us an interesting song on his lute. Soon an elf maiden, Carthien by name, sang for us while playing on her lute. Many thanks to our foreign friends for performing.

Of course we had some hobbits who made it on the stage Perhaps we were out of pies by then. Miss Lina Willowwood had made a song about the Gazette, for this occasion. And it made me hopping. And miss Yola and master Byronbrand entertained us too, with some hopping tunes, for us.

After all this hopping, eating and drinking it was time, to line up for the new Gazette. Everybody took the paper with great interest to see what the new Gazette looked like And, after everybody had had some time to read it, more musicians were ready to perform for us.

Miss Firefern and her friend Cloves from the Pipers , played for us and a friendly lass, Carthien, played for us a song, by this time it was almost night. I could not resist to play as well, but it did not sound right playing alone. So Yola was eager to join with her clarinet.

Afterwards , we had some nice fireworks, before we all left the stage.

That brings me on a interesting happening:  The elf maid Carthien managed to disappear without a trace. whether it was a trick with mirrors or something else we still do not know. Some hobbits where not amused by it and needed some ale to comfort them.

I want to thank all people who made this night a splendid celebration, and of course Miss
Yola Plumblossom, and Master Byronbrand Stepwise for the Gazette…..
