Hullo!

Since the three-year anniversary for Green Dragon Friday is fast approaching, we're looking for grand ways to celebrate the occasion. One thing we'd love to see is a spectacular anniversary concert, with performances from the many lovely hobbit bands around! So, if you are in a hobbit band and would like to showcase your talent during the celebration, please send me a letter through the quick post as soon as possible! Then we'll see if we're able to pull this off!

Additionally, it would be grand to set off a massive amount of fireworks during the night. If you do have fireworks you'd like to volunteer for the concert, and perhaps even help in setting them off, just let me know!

The current plan is as follows:

Concert date: Friday May 20th, usual Green Dragon time ((19:00 /servertime, 20:00 BST)).
Length of concert: 2 hours maximum-ish, depending on the number of bands.
Location: Methel Stage outside of Bywater.

Guidelines for participating bands:

Sign-up date: Please let me know as soon as possible if you'd like to play, preferably before May 1st, so we can begin work on an initial schedule. Please specify your band name and likely musicians.
Band size: At least two musicians, but the more players, the merrier!
Performances: We'd like hobbit bands performing 2-3 of their favourite songs. Number of songs depends on the number of bands who sign up.
Notification: Plans for the concert are likely to be posted in the Gazette, but also keep a lookout on these notice boards for the latest plans.
Bagpipes: Are an aberration of the truly evil, tricksy and wicked kind. USE WITH CAUTION!

Looking forward to hear from you all, hobbit musicians!

Best regards,
Lina Willowwood
